What extracurricular activities is your child participating in this school year? I’ll go a step further and ask, what extracurricular activities are YOU participating in this year? We lose the importance of incorporating fun activities in our own lives as we start adulting.  As we age, if we engage in extracurricular activities, we term it self-care. The truth is we all need these activities in our lives to boost our dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin levels engaging in the things we enjoy. They are great for everyone’s physical, mental, and emotional health.

Extracurricular activities are an opportunity for children to demonstrate or develop a talent, build social skills with peers and other adults, and add value to their community.

Introducing extracurricular activities into your child’s schedule can boost their social development and have lasting positive effects! By participating in extracurricular activities, children begin to develop the positive habits they will need to be successful throughout their lives: analytical thinking, problem-solving, time management, empathy for others, sense of community, leadership, and responsibility.

Here at Keys to Abundant Life, we work to inspire and empower individuals of all ages to improve their lives mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. One way that we do that is by ensuring that we have quality programming for our young people and young-at-heart!

We offer a variety of extracurricular activities—from healthy culinary to singing to sports and everything in between — that will surely pique your and your child’s interest. So, as you plan your own and your child’s schedule for the upcoming school year, check out the activities that we offer and register for a program that will help unlock success and fun in the future.
